Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime...
But sometimes, you just gotta give the guy the friggin' fish.

Two of my web sites are basically the same but unrelated. They are Wizard News, which features Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings news, and What Goes On, the latest Beatles news. One of the features of these sites is the automatic display of birthdays of people important to the topic of the site.

Today is the only day of the year when both unrelated sites honor the same person.

British actor Ian Hart was born in Liverpool, England on this day in 1964. Ian first came to prominence in the role of John Lennon in the 1994 film Backbeat. It was his second portrayal of Lennon, his first was in the film The Hours and Times in 1991.

Ian also set the tone of the Harry Potter films by portraying the first bad guy in a Harry Potter film, with his performance as Professor Quirrell in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001.

Happy birthday, Ian!
